A fun, practical introduction to running with your dog

Have you ever looked at someone running with their dog and thought, "I'd love to try that, but I don't know where to start?"

Discover Canicross is a fun, practical 1.5 hour introduction to running with your dog.

Led by our qualified canicross coach, you'll try the kit, learn the foundations of canicross and start running with your dog as a team.

We'll show you how to fit the kit correctly, help you and your dog understand how to work together using simple commands, and cover dog welfare, trail etiquette and safety when running as part of a group. You'll then have the opportunity to practice your new skills during the session. No previous experience is needed.

You'll have everything you need for the session, including a suitable canicross harness for your dog, canicross belt, bungee line and running vest. You'll use the full set-up during the session, so you can experience what you'll need when you start running with your dog on your own.

You just need to bring yourself, your dog, suitable running clothes and trainers.

The session starts at a private venue in Ardeley, Hertfordshire, before heading out onto quiet trails.

Dogs must be at least 12 months old to take part in canicross. Spaces are limited to keep the group small and manageable for dogs and their owners.

Our activities take place outdoors, so please come prepared for the British weather. In the event of adverse weather or unsafe conditions, we may need to cancel or postpone an activity. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer a transfer to another date or a full refund.

Please note: If you are unable to attend, your booking is non-refundable. However, with at least 7 days notice, you may transfer your place to another date, subject to availability.
