About us

Trail Paws Adventures was founded by Fiona Baker in 2022. As a qualified Canicross Coach, England Athletics Run Leader, Off Road and Trail Leader, and Coach in Running Fitness, Fiona has a simple aim to help more people enjoy running and exploring trails with their dogs.

Canicross is still relatively new to many people, and knowing where to start can be difficult. Our sessions give you the chance to try canicross for yourself, learn how the kit works, understand how to run with your dog and find out whether it's something you both enjoy.

Once you've started your journey with us, Trail Paws Adventures is here to help you keep going. We offer 1:1 Coaching, Confident Canicrosser Group Runs, Professional Kit Fitting and Guided Canihiking, alongside the Trail Paws Pack community. We also have the Trail Paws Outdoors Shop, where we stock the canicross kit we use ourselves and trust on the trails.

At Trail Paws Adventures, we're about sharing knowledge, experience and a love of being outdoors with dogs. We want to help people and their dogs get outside, explore new places, have adventures together and enjoy the trails.

Canicross Challenger Events

Canicross Challenger Events are our canicross races, designed to give people the opportunity to challenge themselves and see how they progress.

Our race series currently consists of three races. You can run one, two or all three, with the option to compete for the fastest overall time or, our favourite, the most improved over the series. We want to recognise progressive effort and improvement, not just who happens to be the fastest on the day.

We also provide a safe space for Yellow Dogs. If your dog needs a little more distance from other dogs, we'll make sure there is space for you to take part comfortably and safely.

For us, Canicross Challenger is about having something to work towards, enjoying the experience with your dog and seeing what you can achieve together.
